Once upon a time, there was a little pencil named Piko. Piko lived inside a colorful pencil box with many other pencils, pens, and erasers.
Every morning, Piko watched his owner, Daniel, go to school.
“I wish I were as smart as Daniel,” Piko said one day.
The other pencils laughed.
“Piko, you are only a pencil. You cannot become smart!”
Piko felt sad, but he did not give up.
One afternoon, Daniel used Piko to write his homework. The homework was about the importance of reading.
Daniel wrote, “Reading helps us learn new things, understand the world, and improve our imagination.”
Piko was amazed.
“So that is how people become knowledgeable!” he thought.
The next day, Daniel used Piko to write a mathematics exercise. The following day, Piko helped him write a science project.
Day after day, Piko discovered something important: learning happens one step at a time.
One evening, Daniel looked at his homework and smiled.
“I’m getting better every day!”
Piko smiled too.
He finally understood that being smart was not about knowing everything. It was about being willing to learn.
Moral of the Story
Never be afraid to learn. Every new thing you learn makes you wiser and better prepared for the future.
